Ms. A - 40 & Fabulous!

Ms. A came in for her 40th Birthday and absolutely LOVED the experience! Here’s what she had to say :)

• Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Emily compare to your prior experience?

  My very first boudoir shoot but I knew what to expect thanks to all of the preparation with the emails and with talking to my friend that was also a client of Emily’s .
  

• Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

  I’m turning 40 this year. My body has gotten me this far, has given me 3 beautiful, rotten kids and this was a reminder of how much I take my imperfect body for granted when it should be celebrated- every bump, bruise, scar, stretch mark and blemish. It’s easier said than done so this marks the reminder to myself.
  

• How are you feeling now after you did the session?

  So many emotions. I feel like a Goddess. Empowered. A complete Bad Ass.
  

• What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

  What gal doesn’t love having their makeup & hair done by a pro?! Not only did it feel like we (MUA/Summer, Emily & I) were long time friends chatting, sharing stories and catching up but with Emily you get an absolute cheerleader. While you may have insecurities, just like your gynecologist- I reminded myself, she’s seen a lot of bodies and mine is just one more. Never, ever felt judged. I had the most talented, body positive Hype Girl. Emily gets women, gets our bodies and knows how to highlight the best of each woman, which is evidenced in her website & their photographs and no doubt what she captured in the few snaps she showed me direct from the camera- even before any type of editing. That’s talent❣️
  

• Would you recommend this experience to a friend?

  Absolutely. 💯. 🙌🏼 ⬇️. SO. WORTH. IT. I haven’t gotten my photographs yet but just having another female tell you that your body is beautiful- something we do not do enough for one another is worth it. The self confidence and the awe you have in yourself, knowing you just went completely out of your comfort zone (for me anyway) is something that everyone should feel.
