Becka & Tristan are the dream couple to photograph! So happy and in love, it was so much fun spending the day with them talking about coffee & traveling. I cannot wait to spend July 4th with them this year as they say their "I do's" and become man & wife. Ugh, I can't wait!!!
They're engagement story:
Our conversation about marriage and our future has been an ongoing and open one. We both knew we were on the same page with moving forward, but I wasn't sure when his timing would be. Tristan was supposed to leave for a work trip in a few days, and had been pretty adamant about getting outside for a hike before he left town. His timing seemed a little strange to me, as the rainy Seattle weekend forecast turned into warnings of a crazy unusual Westerly Atmospheric River on the day we had planned to go - He seriously wanted to go hiking when a W.A.R. was headed for the mountains?! We both aren't the type to let rain stop us, so I shook off my surprise and we headed out to Snow Lake Trail. About the time we arrived at the lake, we realized our gear was only pseudo-waterproof, and we were both soaked to the core. Luckily, we brought a thermos of coffee, and Tristan found a spot slightly sheltered by a big tree. We sat down for a moment to enjoy the beautiful lake we had all to ourselves before I asked if we should head back down. When I got up and started getting my stuff together, he eagerly stopped me by holding out a beautiful walnut ring box he made. Then he was down on one knee and jumbling a bunch of words together that I can't really remember because of the adorable, goofy grin on his face, and the beautiful ring he was telling me was mine. Not knowing there are any formalities to observe with engagements, I excitedly ripped the ring out of the box and put it on myself. We giggled and laughed like little kids the whole way down to his car, and enjoyed a night celebrating with a few friends after!
